Description
The Human Resources Intern will serve as a support resource in various aspects of HR, including talent acquisition, benefits and compensation, and policy and procedures. This position will have the opportunity to gain a comprehensive understanding of Human Resources and its role with each department within the company.
Responsibilities
Major Objectives
- Understand how Human Resources works in unison with department leaders to acquire and retain talent.
- Gain insight on how to support and coach through employee-relations issues.
- Understand the various aspects of Human Resources, including talent acquisition, payroll, benefits, employee relations, and policy and procedure implementation.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide support with various tasks related to talent acquisition, including recruiting, candidate correspondence and ATS (applicant tracking system) maintenance.
- Assist with various tasks related to new hire onboarding.
- Conduct market research and analysis pertaining to benefits and compensation that could be incorporated in the future.
- Provide a range of administrative support.
- Support driving process improvements to current HR practices and procedures.
Qualifications
Prerequisites:
- Pursing bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Leadership, or related field.
- Able to build strong relationships and foster trust and collaboration.
- Must handle all confidential matters with discretion.
- Effectively interface with all levels of the Company.
- Ability to identify problems and review related information to evaluate options and implement solutions.
