About the position: The primary objective of the Project Management team is to work with the HVAC equipment sales group at VCS. The Project Management team functions as a clearing house for product technical information, engineering support documentation, equipment parts sales, ordering and VCS product line developments. The individual will work closely with the Project Management team and team leader, outside sales persons, product vendors and the VCS service department

Responsibilities

Engineering and Sales Support

  • Work with the engineering & sales support employees to perform duties in areas such as:
    • Project Takeoffs
    • Proposal Development
    • Parts Sales Customer Database Development
    • Ordering and Tracking Progress of orders
    • Communicating Order Status to customers
    • Turnover from Sales to Service
    • Job File Management (electronic and hard copy)
    • Contract Closeout
      • Warranty Letters
      • O&M Preparation and distribution
    • Develop and Maintain an Inventory Management Database
    • General duties for team/sales people
    • Job closeout and filling

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Currently enrolled in an engineering, construction, technology or management program and maintain a minimum college GPA requirement of 2.90 on a 4.00 scale; cumulative, no rounding

Knowledge:

  • Requires critical thinking skills, excellent problem-solving skills, self-motivation, decisive judgment and excellent customer service skills
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills are a must

Other Requirements:

  • Observe all company procedures and safety rules
  • Work as part of our team to ensure customer satisfaction
  • May be required to satisfy other requirements imposed by specific projects, customers, or company needs, including to be vaccinated for the flu and/or Covid-19 and similar, subject to all applicable laws
  • Valid driver's license (including a clean driving record) and evidence of insurability
  • Full Time, 40 Hours / week
  • Travel to job sites or other offices may be required
