Description

Intern Program Activities (anticipated, subject to change): June - early August
  • Orientation Kickoff
  • Networking opportunities to connect you with other internal and alumni interns
  • Attend a required "all student" virtual networking event at the end of the internship presenting to key members of Sr. Management and participating in a panel discussion with Sr. Management
 
Internship Basics:
  • 10 - 12 week summer duration desired, flexible start and end dates
  • 40-hour anticipated work week, Monday through Friday (flexible hours based on your schedule)
  • Paid opportunity

Responsibilities

Position Summary:
Credit Internships offer great work experience to compliment your classroom learning and career goals. Internships will be during the Summer of 2022 with flexible hours based on student schedules. We are devoted to finding, selecting and training credit interns who will make a positive impact on our organization. Intern program activities allow you an opportunity to meet and network with Bank executives, employees, and fellow interns, as well as learn more about banking and the financial industry.
Credit interns work closely with colleagues to meet the business objectives and priorities defined by the specific department. Credit Interns are exposed to different areas of the Credit Services department, such as Auto, Construction, Aircraft, Small Business, Commercial, Specialty Vehicle, Truck/EEF and International Business.
 
Essential Requirements:
  • Learn the basics of Commercial Lending/Credit Underwriting
  • Assist with obtaining credit information
  • Perform credit file maintenance, request/review financial information, and complete additional research as required
  • Assist with performing periodic financial review of current customers
  • Attend Credit Committees as an observer to learn about the credit approval process.
  • Complete assigned reports and/or projects by management by identified deadline.

Qualifications

Experience/Skills:
  • Junior or senior, majoring in Finance or Accounting desired
  • Interested in pursuing a career in banking
  • Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel)
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and accuracy a must
  • Confident in a professional office environment
