Cybersecurity Internship

Description

The applicant will be exposed to multiple industry recognized security systems used to protect and monitor assets for the company and our customers.  The position will include being able to respond to alerts in a SIEM solution, and contact customers regarding malicious activity in their environment.  This will be complemented with training towards a beginner security certification if desired, to not only learn by experience, but by best practice as well.  They will also be responsible for helping document various security response scenarios as they go through investigations.

Responsibilities

• Learn what Cybersecurity is and why it is important
• Exposure to basic tools to address Cybersecurity
• How to apply investigation methodologies to identify threats
• Learn basic approach and areas to address when applying security to a variety of systems
• Coaching/Mentoring by experienced Security Engineer
• Hands-on labs to learn first-hand implementation
• Learn to work a security incident effectively, in a high stress scenario
