Celebrate Internship Excellence at 2020 IMPACT Awards Luncheon

Indiana INTERNnet’s 14th Annual IMPACT Awards Luncheon will take place on February 18 at the Ritz Charles Ballrooms in Carmel. It will focus on celebrating internship excellence – featuring interviews with interns, employers and career development professionals about their best practices. The event will also be a celebration of 10,000 filled internships through our web site!

Indiana INTERNnet, managed by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce, serves as the catalyst for the creation and expansion of experiential learning opportunities, with the goal of retaining the state’s top talent. The IMPACT Awards were launched to celebrate the significance of internships and highlight accomplishments throughout the state.

Honors will be presented in the areas of Intern Supervisor of the Year, Intern of the Year (high school, college and non-traditional), Career Development Professional of the Year (high school and college) and Employer of the Year (for-profit and nonprofit). Attendees will have the opportunity to …

Indiana INTERNnet is now accepting nominations for the 14th annual IMPACT Awards, an annual celebration of internship excellence. We encourage you to complete the online nomination form, and share how this person has made an impact at your organization by committing to internship excellence. The deadline for nominations is November 8, 2019.

What are the awards categories? Intern of the Year (3) High School College Non-Traditional *High school and college interns must be enrolled in school during the time of their internship in 2019. The non-traditional category is for an intern who was not an enrolled student at the time of the internship or was 26 years old or older during the internship. Welcome Angela Taylor!

Indiana INTERNnet is pleased to welcome Angela Taylor to our team as Program Assistant! She is responsible for the logistics of the IMPACT Awards, serves as liaison to the board of directors and committees, and produces communications.

Angela was born and raised on the west side of Indianapolis but currently resides in Irvington, a charming east side neighborhood. She received her bachelor’s degree at Indiana University – Indianapolis with a focus on tourism, conventions and events management. She started her career in the hospitality industry as an intern working at the Sheraton in Indianapolis. Once her internship was completed, she stayed working at the Sheraton through college and beyond.

To build her resume, she switched fields and worked at Elanco Animal Health for a few years, then most recently worked at the Greater Lawrence Chamber of Commerce. She is very excited to jump in with the Indiana INTERNnet team and …
