Accounting Intern

Specialized Staffing is looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Assistant Intern to support our accounting team with day-to-day financial operations. This is a great opportunity to gain real-world accounting experience in a professional setting while working with a supportive and experienced team.

Responsibilities

• Help with filing, organizing, and maintaining financial documents
• Assist in preparing reports and spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel
• Communicate with staff, associates, vendors or clients as needed to follow up on documentation or resolve discrepancies
• Provide general administrative support to the accounting team
• Assist with data entry of invoices, payments, and other financial transactions into accounting systems

Qualifications

• Must have strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent computer skills required, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Must be able to type 35–40 WPM
• Ability to sit for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks such as data entry
• Must have adequate vision and hearing to interact with documents, reports, and verbal communication in an office setting
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• This is not a remote position
• High school senior or college student pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
• Comfortable with numbers, spreadsheets, and financial systems
• Eager to learn and contribute to the accounting process
• Professional communication skills and a strong sense of confidentiality
• Reliable, dependable, and able to manage tasks independently
