Responsibilities

• Assists students and teachers in the general education classroom and with continuous learning
• Works with small groups of students and/or with individual students 
• Supervises students during periods such as arrival, dismissal,  breakfast, lunch, and recess 
• Helps maintain cleanliness and order in the classroom and school areas
• Assists classroom teachers with the implementation of instructional plan
• Helps create and maintain an appropriate and positive learning environment
• Assists in the collection and compilation of student, parent, teacher and community data
• Follows a schedule 
• Be trustworthy with confidential information
• All other duties as assigned by the building principal or the building principal’s designee

Qualifications

• Aspirations of working in the field of Education and appropriate coursework toward this path
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. 
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in work output.
• Eagerness to learn, adapt and take initiative in a professional setting. 
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
