Software Engineer Intern

We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer Intern to join our team at Toddfather and AB Solutions LLC, the parent company behind two exciting new ventures: InsureHire (a platform focused on connecting insurance professionals with hiring opportunities or staffing in the insurance industry) and MedRep On-Demand (an on-demand med rep hiring opportunities service specializing in the medical device sector).

This internship offers hands-on experience in full-stack web development for early-stage startups. You will primarily build and launch professional, user-friendly websites for both businesses from the ground up. These sites will include features like service descriptions, contact forms, booking/scheduling tools, SEO optimization, and basic client portals. This is a unique opportunity to contribute directly to real-world business launches in the insurance staffing and medical logistics sectors, working closely with the owner in a small, agile environment. The platform used is on Lovable and Supabase with Gitub. 

Responsibilities

• Design and develop responsive, modern websites for InsureHire and MedRep On-Demand using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React, Vue, or similar.
• Implement core features such as landing pages, service overviews, contact/quote request forms, scheduling calendars (for deliveries or job inquiries), and basic user authentication if needed.
• Integrate third-party tools (e.g., Google Maps for delivery tracking, payment gateways, or job posting forms).
• Optimize websites for SEO (e.g., targeting keywords like "medical courier Indiana" or "insurance staffing jobs").
• Ensure mobile responsiveness, accessibility, and fast loading times.
• Collaborate on backend basics (e.g., using Node.js, Firebase, or simple serverless solutions for form handling and data storage).
• Test, debug, and deploy sites (e.g., via Netlify, Vercel, or shared hosting).
• Incorporate feedback from stakeholders and iterate on designs for user experience.
• Assist with basic content management and future maintenance updates.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Web Development, or a related field (junior/senior level preferred).
• Strong foundational knowledge of web technologies: HTML/CSS/JavaScript; experience with modern frameworks (React, Bootstrap, etc.) is a plus.
• Familiarity with version control (Git/GitHub) and basic deployment processes.
• Understanding of responsive design principles and SEO best practices.
• Bonus: Experience with backend tools (Node.js, Express, databases like MongoDB or Firebase), UI/UX design tools (Figma), or APIs.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn new technologies.
• Portfolio of personal/school projects or previous web development work (GitHub links highly encouraged).
