Description
Pilsung ATA Martial Arts is a family-owned martial arts school based in Greenwood, Indiana. They’ve served the local community since 2003, offering martial arts classes, leadership, and instructor certification training for kids, teens, and adults.
The Business & Marketing Internship is a core part of our Business Team, working under the supervision of business Co-Owner Brian Myers. The Intern is involved in our Business Development, Marketing, and Brand Building efforts as we grow our academy. The Business & Marketing Intern is responsible for assisting in the generation of materials used to attract new students and community involvement opportunities. They also provide support in business development and performance tracking, helping us make a bigger impact on our community.
By the end of the program, interns will:
- Understand how service businesses operate
- Learn how marketing attracts new customers
- Understand the psychology behind sales and enrollment
- Develop leadership and communication skills
- Learn how operational systems support business growth
- Understand the Small Business environment and management
Responsibilities
Business Development (50%)
- Assist in the development of new business systems and SOP(s)
- Analyze and assist in improvements to current business systems
- Identify new growth opportunities that align with Pilsung ATA’s mission
- Track and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that contribute to the success of the business
Marketing (50%)
- Take photos and videos of classes and events
- Support in the management of social media platforms
- Assist in the creation of materials for advertising and brand building
- Expand Pilsung ATA’s online and offline presence and reach
- Lead in collecting customer photos and stories for use in future marketing efforts
- Collaborate in generating documents, including press releases, newsletters, and reports
- Assist in planning and executing community outreach events
- Support workshops and targeted outreach to nonprofits
