Description

At Cimtech, we don’t just make parts; we solve problems. We are a precision manufacturing firm dedicated to high-quality production across various industries, including rail infrastructure, medical, and industrial automation.

Our program is a "rotation-based" journey. You won't be stuck in one corner; you'll see how a raw piece of metal becomes a finished, polished product.

1. CNC Operations (Mill & Lathe)

This is where parts come together. You’ll learn about manual tools, welding prep, and the mechanical logic required to build functional machinery.

2. Utility Team Member

You will report to the general manager with dotted lines to second shift supervisor and quality assurance and design engineer.

Your Learning Goals

Safety First:

  • Learn to use measurement tools (calipers and micrometers) to verify that parts meet exact specifications.

Team Synchronicity:

  • Identify why a process might be slowing down and work with your mentor to find a more efficient path.

Our Philosophy: We want you to leave here realizing that manufacturing isn't just "a job"—it's a blend of math, art, and technology that is complimented by your in classroom training.

Responsibilities

*General Tasks include --> showing up and being willing to learn (coachable).  Our team of experienced machinist, welders, fabricators, and engineers are the best teachers!

Each day will bring a new opportunity to learn (from start to finish) the operations at hand (i.e. machining, assembly, welding, fabrication, engineering design, quality controls) and you will get the opportunity to learn the standard manufacturing process of that part / project and also the quality assurance guidlines.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a manufacturing course, specifically geared towards engineering (included but not limited to: precision machining, fabrication (welding), advanced manufacturing, CAD, automation and robotics, engineering).
