J.L. Hufford Coffee and Tea Company is a mid-sized kitchenware and appliance ecommerce company located in Lafayette, Indiana. The Marketing Intern will be responsible for leading and overseeing the company’s marketing efforts. The ideal candidate will implement, evaluate, and communicate marketing strategies to increase sales and online presence. This role focuses primarily on the company’s Amazon.com website, and possibly expand to our JLHufford.com a Shopify website, as well as exclusive products on third-party selling platforms such as Shopify, Amazon, Ebay, Walmart, etc.  We will provide training.  

Responsibilities

Responsibilities and Duties

• Develop and oversee marketing strategies that consist of emails and social media messages.
• Plan and implement promotional campaigns for multiple brands
• Oversee the daily activities of the marketing department and provide feedback
• Enhance the company’s online presence
• Communicate with senior management team and vendors regarding marketing initiatives and metrics
• Regular communication with department heads to ensure company needs are being met
• Developing strategies for new and existing products
• Analyze customer behavior to identify demand for new products not currently being offered
• Measure and create reports on campaign performances
• Undertake continuous analysis of the competitive environment and consumer trends
• Be up-to-date on the latest trends in marketing

Qualifications

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience in marketing; digital marketing experience preferred
• Knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
• Knowledge of Pay Per Click (PPC) Campaigns
• Project Management experience
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
• Analytical and creative thinking
• Strong attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft and Adobe applications
• Video creation and editing
