High School Internship

Description

We are an insurance and financail services Corporation, representing State Farm, the World's largest Insurance Company, offering over 100 products.  My leadership staff and myself will be monitoring and coaching the interns.

• Introduce students to the insurance industry and basic principles.
• Build foundational workplace skills (communication, organization, professionalism).
• Provide hands-on experience in client support and sales roles.
• Expose interns to different departments (claims, underwriting, sales, customer service, etc.).
• Offer mentorship and career exploration opportunities.

Responsibilities

The internship is structured and will have a formal training process.  We will have the interns working on calling prospects, setting appointments with current clients, shadowing customer service, claims and sales teams.  They will have a capstone project to work on as a group that provides additional teamwork necessary to present a challenging area of our business and find solutions to better our Company.  

Qualifications

• Must be a high school junior or senior
• Minimum 3.0 GPA or teacher recommendation
• Strong interest in business, finance, or customer service
• Parental permission and school approval (if required)

Learning Objectives

Will cater the role to the specific learning track of the student as we have multiple roles that we can fill. The overall learning objective would be specific to the student's needs.
