Description
We are one of the leading offices out of 20,000 independent Agents Nation-wide in the areas of B2B, Retirement Planning, and multiple other product lines. We are looking to teach specific skills such as: Marketing, Advertising, Leadership Development, Human Resources, Insurance, Sales, and General Entrepreneurial behaviors.
Note: We do have 2 offices. One in Carmel and one in Greenfield, Indiana.
If you are looking for part-time or full-time work, we can be flexible during any season, but this is an in-office position and can lead into work from home/school after training. We also welcome college graduates whom may want to own a business one day.

Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Pipeline Support
- Proactively identify potential prospects through outbound calling, texting, email, and community engagement.
- Qualify leads using agency-approved scripts and discovery questions.
- Enter all new leads into the CRM accurately and in real time.
- Maintain daily activity goals (calls, conversations, appointments, follow-ups).
Appointment Setting
- Contact warm leads, referrals, and existing customers to schedule appointments for licensed agents.
- Confirm appointments, send reminders, and ensure all pre-appointment documents are ready for the licensed producer.
- Learn and follow best practices for reducing no-shows.
Customer Experience & First Contact
- Serve as the first point of contact for new prospects, creating a friendly and professional impression of the agency.
- Gather preliminary client information needed for quotes (without discussing coverage details).
- Document every client interaction in the CRM following agency SOPs.
Marketing & Outreach Activities
- Assist with local marketing campaigns, referral programs, and community events.
- Contribute to social media posting, content ideas, and brand building under guidance.
- Support email campaigns, newsletter creation, and reputation management (reviews, follow-ups).
CRM & Data Management
- Maintain clean, accurate records in the CRM and agency management system.
- Track lead sources, close rates, and daily KPIs to support agency performance reporting.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy standards and agency protocols.
Sales Support (Non-Licensed Activities Only)
- Prepare quote sheets, gather documents, and set up files for licensed agent review.
- Provide rate comparisons prepared by licensed agents to prospects.
- Observe sales meetings and shadow licensed agents to learn insurance sales processes.
- Follow compliance guidelines to avoid any unlicensed solicitation or coverage recommendations.
Training & Development
- Participate in all weekly training sessions, role-plays, and performance reviews.
- Complete agency modules (scripts, objection handling, CRM mastery, Kaizen principles, etc.).
- Demonstrate continuous improvement toward agency KPIs and professionalism standards.
Office Administration & Team Contribution
- Help with reception tasks such as greeting walk-ins and routing calls.
- Assist with scanning, file organization, and general office support.
- Maintain a positive, energetic culture aligned with agency core values.
Compliance & Ethical Conduct
- Understand and follow all rules governing unlicensed activities.
- Ensure all insurance discussions redirect to licensed agents when required.
- Protect client data and maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications
- Students who apply MUST be returning to school (undergraduate or graduate) for at least one semester following the summer internship
- 12 hours or more of relevant coursework in insurance, management, finance before the start of the internship
- Pursuing degree in Finance (customer facing), Sales, Leadership, Marking, Business Management, (not all inclusive)
- Current Junior, Senior or graduate student preferred
