Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented college student to lead a short-term business process documentation and training project at Greene Thumb. Every organization has important knowledge that lives in the minds of its employees. This internship will help us capture that knowledge and turn it into resources that make our organization stronger and make it easier for future employees to be successful. Working with employees in multiple office functions, the intern will learn how key responsibilities are performed, document the processes, and create standardized resources that are easy for someone new to understand and follow. This position offers considerable independence and is well suited for a student who enjoys organizing information, completing projects, interviewing people, learning how businesses operate, and creating something tangible from start to finish.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do
  1. Interview employees in both field and office-based roles to understand their responsibilities and recurring job tasks.
  2. Spend time observing employees performing key tasks and processes.
  3. Ask questions to capture not only what employees do, but how and why they do it.
  4. Develop clear, practical SOPs for field operations, office processes, and individual job responsibilities.
  5. Create checklists, quick-reference guides, screenshots, photos, and other supporting training materials.
  6. Help organize SOPs and training resources into an easy-to-use company library.
  7. Help plan, film, and create short training videos demonstrating important job tasks and processes.
  8. Identify areas where processes could be clearer, more consistent, easier to teach, or more efficient.
  9. Manage assigned documentation projects from initial employee interview through completed SOP or training resource.
  10. Present completed work and recommendations to leadership at the end of the internship.
