Levisonics is a medical device startup dedicated to improving patient lives by developing innovative blood coagulation testing platforms that perform analysis with a single drop of blood using acoustic levitation. Our mission is to provide a safer and more convenient point of care platform for comprehensive assessment of bleeding and thrombosis, giving healthcare professionals accurate and reliable diagnostic tools to make informed decisions and improve patient outcomes.

We are seeking a Software Engineering Intern to support software development and data processing for our device platform. Interns will work on software that interfaces with sensor hardware and on data pipelines used during validation testing, gaining experience at the intersection of software and medical hardware, alongside our software engineering lead.

Responsibilities

  1. Contribute to software supporting device data acquisition and processing.
  2. Assist with integration between device software and hardware during testing.
  3. Help build and maintain data analysis tools and scripts used in validation testing.
  4. Write clear, documented code and contribute to team discussions on architecture.
  5. Support data organization across ongoing device and grant projects as needed.

  1. Explain how the device's software layer connects to its sensor hardware during a test run.
  2. Build or extend a data processing script used in validation testing.
  3. Debug an integration issue spanning software and hardware with guidance from the team.
  4. Write code and documentation clear enough for a teammate to pick up and continue.
