Description

Relevant Dealer is an automotive digital marketing and technology company that helps dealerships improve their online presence, attract qualified customers, and make more informed marketing decisions. Our services include search engine optimization (SEO), website development and management, paid digital advertising, social media marketing, content development, marketing analytics, and business intelligence.

Our Digital Marketing Generalist Internship is a structured, paid, 16-week learning experience designed to introduce college students to the different disciplines involved in modern automotive marketing. Interns will develop a broad understanding of how marketing strategy, dealership websites, advertising, customer engagement, analytics, and technology work together to support business growth.

The internship follows a progressive training model, beginning with marketing fundamentals, client orientation, and website optimization before advancing into analytics, Google Tag Manager, paid advertising, social media, email marketing, and conversion optimization.

Interns will receive approximately 1–2 hours of direct instruction each week from an experienced team member, along with 2–3 hours of guided independent learning using professional training resources. The remainder of their scheduled time will focus on supervised, hands-on projects that reinforce the concepts they are learning.

A designated internship supervisor will provide ongoing guidance, assign projects, review completed work, and conduct regular progress evaluations. Additional mentorship will be provided by team members with expertise in SEO, website management, paid advertising, analytics, content creation, and marketing technology.

Learning goals include developing proficiency with common digital marketing platforms, understanding the automotive customer journey, applying fundamental marketing concepts to real-world projects, interpreting basic marketing performance data, and developing professional communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

The experience will conclude with a supervised marketing analysis project, giving the intern an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and present recommendations based on actual marketing data and observations.
