Description
The Fort Wayne Dance Collective is looking for a vibrant, go-getting intern with a strong interest in event planning and the behind the scenes work of planning performing arts productions. Applicant must have the availability to work various events as needed.
Responsibilities
Intern’s duties may include but are not limited to the following:
• Coordinate and document programs and events through photo, video, pre and post test participant evaluations and written testimonials
• Communicate with supervisor on a weekly basis concerning site or individual issues or new projects
• Assist staff with special events and fundraisers
• Assist Artistic Director in production and as needed
• Assist in promotion and distribution of marketing materials, including digital marketing
• Work concerts, workshops and special events in coordination with other staff members including production and cleanup
• Inventory wardrobe and props
Qualifications
• Must currently be enrolled in a University Arts, Theatre, or Dance program or be one year post graduation;
• Must be able to have a flexible schedule with some evening and weekend hours required;
• Exceptionally strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills;
• Demonstrated creativity, flexibility and comfort in working with a variety of populations
• Act as a self-starter with the ability to accomplish projects with little supervision;
• Proficient using Apple computers; Word and Excel.
