IT Developer - Summer 2020
Description
The position will help with the IT operational needs of the non-profit entity, including projects around: System migration (from Excel to database system), support for server installation, setup & maintenance, Hardware/ software installation & support, user access/ training support & IT helpdesk support for staff & volunteers (as needed). This intern will recieve mentoring from a professor at Ivy Tech.
Responsibilities
Initially to convert data and load it to the new system
Move Excel reporting to database management system, either Microsoft Access or MySQL (TBD)
Enhance data mining capabilities based on data added via client contact, social media, etc... keyword search
Translate data mining to effective customer contact (targeted email, traditional mail merge support, etc.)
Choose & install query tool and train users
Create management/reporting BI dashboard
Create client dashboard for website for feedback on "How are we doing?"
Documentation of project steps / progress for efficient hand-off to next incoming intern(s)
Qualifications
Associate degree holder / candidate within an accredited Information Technology program, preferrably in the area(s) of Database Management, Server Administration, Informatics, Software Development, CyberSecurity/Information Assurance, Computer Science, & IT Support.
