Description

We are seeking candidates for internships in our Fort Wayne, IN office for the electrical engineering department.  Responsibilities shall include in assisting with the design of power distribution and lighting systems for commercial buildings.  Tasks will include, but not be limited to, photometric lighting calculations/analysis, developing energy simulations, drawing in Autocad and Revit, development of equipment specifications for projects, field work at project sites, and other office tasks as needed.

The successful candidate will be at least a sophomore seeking a BSEE degree and has passed an electrical circuits class.  Communication skills are important with the ability interact with staff and clients in a professional and confident manner.  A successful candidate will be punctual, outgoing, and have a desire to learn something new each day.

It is our goal to engage an intern for the summer and provide a part time work opportunity ongoing during fall and spring semesters as time allows.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities shall include assisting with the design using software load modeling software, assist with drawing creation using Autocad and/or Revit, assist with product selection, assist with gathering field work at project locations, and any other tasks assigned by Intern mentor.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:  Candidate must be enrolled in an ABET accredited engineering program, shall be enrolled as a sophomore or later, have sucessfully passed their first class in thermodynamics to gain a foundation in heat/enenrgy transfer.  Must be punctual and ready to learn every day.
