Junior Design Engineering Intern

Description

Dallara is seeking two (2) interns to assist with Engineering Design projects for the motorsports and aerospace industries.  Under the direction of a senior engineer, the chose interns will collaborate with the design and production teams on various design projects.  This position will be for up to 15 hours per week during the academic year and 40 hours during the summer.   

Responsibilities

• Understand project requirements and concepts
• Use CREO to develop models and drawings of new products including components, assemblies, tooling, and fixtures.
• Maintain existing engineering records and designs.
• Assess all engineering prototypes to determine issues or risks.
• Coordinate with other engineers, management, and customers.
• Develop test prototypes
• Identify solutions to improve production efficiency.
• Listen to feedback to hone skills and improve designs.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge and experience with CREO preferred. Experience with Solidworks considered. 
• Creativity skills and problem-solving aptitude
• Time management skills with the ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects.
• Accurate and strong attention to detail
• Analytical skills
