Description

The Business Office Part time assistant is responsible for assisting in various duties within the Business Office pertaining to Fixed Assets, Accounts Receivable Research, Accounts Payable audit documentation, and Customer Service.  This position will receive supervision and training from the Director of the Busniess Office.

Responsibilities

1.    Provide professional, efficient, quality customer service in face to face interactions as well as through phone conversations and electronic mail dialogue.
2.    Assist Director in the oversight of fixed asset to ensure fixed asset data is maintained pursuant to the financial policies of the College
3.    Assist with periodic inventory audits, and physical inventory which includes locating inventory items and making necessary corrections on the College's asset inventory system.
4.    Processes inventory additions, deletes, and transfers as needed
5.    Assist Director with two-year mandatory inventory audits for the Columbus, Franklin, and Shelbyville Sites for accurate reporting.
6.    Assist other Business Office staff with Accounts Receivable research to resolve payment, refund, or billing issues
7.    Assist Director in reviewing of accounts payable reports to ensure proper documentation and adherence to financial policy and procedures
8.    Perform Clerical tasks as required. These tasks may include any or all of the following: responding to incoming mail, preparation of forms, receiving calls, taking messages, arranging appointments, reception of visitors to the BusinessOffice, making copies and other tasks as directed by the
Director.
9.    Other duties logically associated with the position may be assigned. All responsibilities will be conducted within the parameters of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). This position will be required to travel to various locations within the Columbus Service area on rare occasions. A valid driver's License is required.

Qualifications

High school diploma. Ability to work with confidential information. Strong verbal, written, organizational and team skills. proficient computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office. Ability to present professional image. 
Associates degree or pursuing a degree, and all of above stated qualifications plus clerical or administrative experience at a post­secondary or nonprofit institution
