Construction Project Estimating and Managment

Description

• Heritage Custom Painting is looking for energetic, outgoing, and motivated interns who want to learn. 
• Interns will be taught how to create detailed quotes using blueprints and plans.
• Mentors will work closely with interns as they learn to apply real-world production rates to bid requests.  
• Interns will learn how to use software to perform project take-offs to compute labor hours and materials.  
• Interns will work with Project Managers in all stages of the project to facilitate project completion.  
• High-performing interns may be assigned small projects to manage from start to finish.  
• Interns will learn quality control functions and project staging.

Responsibilities

• Gain knowledge of project management software and systems
• Gain experience using project take-off software
• Gain experience and knowledge in staging projects and managing material logistics
• Learn about the various roles and responsibilities of a project manager and other roles on the project management team.
• Learn how to perform project take-offs as related to the industry.  
• Under the supervision of a mentor Learn how to perform project quality control and inspection
• Under the supervision of a mentor learn how to effectively communicate with clients
• Under the direct supervision of a mentor learn how to apply labor hours and material cost to create project cost estimates
• Interns will provide hands-on assistance to the project managers including assisting in-progress inspections, quality control inspections, and documenting project progress.

• Currently enrolled in a construction-related or management degree program.
