  • Networking opportunities to connect you with other internal and alumni interns
  • Attend a required "all student" virtual networking event at the end of the internship presenting to key members of Sr. Management and participating in a panel discussion with Sr. Management
 
Internship Basics
  • 10 - 12 week summer duration desired, flexible start and end dates
  • 40-hour anticipated work week, Monday through Friday (flexible hours based on your schedule)

Responsibilities

Position Summary
Internships offer great work experience to compliment your classroom learning and career goals. Internships will be during the Summer of 2022 with flexible hours based on student schedules. We are devoted to finding, selecting and training interns who will make a positive impact on our organization. Intern program activities allow you an opportunity to meet and network with Bank executives, employees, and fellow interns, as well as learn more about banking and the financial industry. 
 
The Asset Management intern will work closely with colleagues to meet the business objectives and priorities defined by the department.  The Asset/Collateral Management Intern is exposed to different areas and functions of the Loan Admin department as it performs its services for the Auto, Construction, Aircraft, Small Business, Commercial, Specialty Vehicle, and Truck/EEF divisions.

 

Essential Requirements
  • Learn the basics of collateral management, inspections, and risk assessment of the collateral that support the bank’s loans.
  • Assist with maintaining the customer inspection files, inspector scheduling, template updates, collateral valuation process, and report writing.
  • Possibly assist with an actual collateral inspection at the customer’s location.
  • Assist with performing periodic risk reviews of current customers and collateral.
  • Complete assigned reports and/or projects by management by identified deadline.

Qualifications

Experience/Skills
  • Junior or senior, majoring in Finance or Accounting desired
  • Interested in pursuing a career in banking
  • Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel)
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and work independently
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and accuracy a must
  • Confident in a professional office environment
