Warehouse Associate

Description

The Warehouse Associate will work and report directly to the Warehouse Manager assisting with day-to-day operations of a busy retail warehouse. Roles will include assembly and delivery of patio furniture and grills, taking and managing inventory, accepting daily inbound deliveries and coordinating outbound shipments, communication with vendors, administration and sales. Our small business environment offers an opportunity to engage in a variety of tasks. 

Responsibilities

The Warehouse Associate will learn how to identify, pull, assemble, load and deliver (non-driving role) products primarily patio furniture and grills but may also include fireplaces and other outdoor products. In addition, the Associate will be exposed to gas products and parts including regulators, hoses, fittings and more, be introduced to tools as well as standard warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallets jacks and the required safe use of each, be trained on use of electronic equipment used to identify, mark, check and enter inventory. Lastly, the Associate will work alongside the Warehouse Manager as we merge our current systems to a new point-of-sale system this summer. 

Qualifications

The Warehouse Associate should have solid soft skills in attention to detail, work ethic and communication skills. The Associate should have a strong respect for safe work practices.
