Apex is seeking a professional financial and analytics intern to assist our financial team in meeting extensive client deliverable deadlines. You will provide support across all financial and analytics functions. Duties will vary providing excellent exposure to key areas of healthcare consulting. A strong attention to detail is required as well as the ability to prioritize and multi-task. This role requires strong financial and analytics skills to best deliver client reports. Seeking undergrad (at least junior status), grad student or recent graduate committed to completing a 12-week internship in an exciting and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Summary of essential job functions/responsibilities

Finance & Analytics

  • Pull carrier reporting from websites
  • Appropriately file reports & maintain confidentiality
  • Create monthly financial reporting for clients
  • Assist in the development of custom reports
  • Audit current reports to ensure data accuracy
  • Analyze data at an aggregate level
  • Collaborate on new processes for data collection
  • Participate in internal and external meetings as requested
  • Some clerical and manual labor duties
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications

Minimum requirements

  • Proficient with Excel and other Office programs
  • A demonstrated aptitude for learning new software applications, questioning, and exploring data abnormalities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work within a team environment
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Must be able to read and edit spreadsheets, using formulas when required
  • Ability to learn and adapt to change quickly
  • Able to demonstrate and always maintain discretion and confidentiality
  • Must be able to function within a moderate noise level office environment
  • Transportation required to and from work regularly in the corporate office located in Indianapolis, Indiana
  • Currently enrolled in college, junior or higher status pursuing a degree in business, finance, or data analytics preferred
  • Current minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Ability to work up to 20 hours per week (flexibility as needed)
  • Eagerness to learn and make an impact
  • Be a self-starter with the ability to work productively and proactively without supervision
