Gallery Intern

Description

The direct supervisor will be guiding the intern to create a plan of development based on the student's interests and gallery needs. As the student builds confidence in their interests, projects and tasks can grow from those. The direct supervisor will also serve as a mentor, offering feedback and suggestions on how to grow and expand the student's learning. 

Ideally, the intern will have a developed resume, gained confidence, strong project management, and a variety of soft skills developed throughout the internship. 

Responsibilities

• Create tags detailing artwork for exhibition purposes
• Assist with intake of artwork (measuring, etc.)
• Pick up materials from vendors (printed materials, etc.)
• Participate in team meetings to update on project statuses
• Projects and tasks to be added based on the student's studies and interests

• Ability to prioritize tasks and function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

Education and Experience: Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds at times.
