This is an in-person, paid internship ($18/hour) starting in May 2024. Hours are M-F 8a-5p.

 

This is an intern level position responsible for supporting the associates and functions within the ERM department, focusing on Business Resiliency and the Continuity of Operations, but also incorporating other aspects of monitoring and reporting of risk throughout the Bank, including additional initiatives as they arise.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop an understanding of risk management, impacts and risks due to process failures and outages.
  • Develop an awareness of various components of the Bank’s Business Continuity Management Program and the Bank’s approach to business resiliency, emergency preparedness, and disaster recovery.
  • Support the Business Resiliency Team with;
    • Testing business resiliency capabilities through tabletop exercises.
    • developing risk assessments.
    • impact analyses.
    • business continuity planning.
  • Adapt to changes in priorities.
  • Multi-task and maintain the appropriate focus and attention to detail.
  • Drive to create an environment of inclusion and “buy-in” with any and all associate interactions.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as assigned.

 

DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge and ability to effectively use the MS Suite of products.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple deliverables and follow up on items, as necessary.
  • Self-starter, motivated, and looking to provide value in all activities.
  • Ability to work with a team and independently.
  • Ability to learn new information quickly.
  • Ability to ask questions and communicate when assistance is requested.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others (both written and verbally).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • College student in relevant field of study.
  • Expressed interest in a risk-related function within a financial institution.
