The Role

Accounting interns at Slattery & Holman will team up with a mentor and experience a wide variety of the services we provide while developing a skill set that is directly applicable to their current educational program. Our internship is project-based, with the intern assisting in some or all stages of engagements. We are seeking an intern who has a strong desire to learn how to effectively and efficiently prepare tax returns, along with serving as part of a trusted advisory team to guide our client’s business and financial decisions.

As an intern, you will work closely with a tax engagement team and complete tax-related research and special projects as needed. Through this work, you will gain experience and knowledge in several different industries, allowing you to encounter a variety of tax, accounting, and industry-specific situations. This is an in-person role, non-remote, non-hybrid.

 

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, or other business-related field
  • 3.5 GPA overall
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Strong desire to learn, assist, and grow in a team environment
  • Propensity to learn and navigate the software used throughout the organization
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of all aspects of job responsibilities
