Description

Purdue Extension Ohio County is looking for a highly motivated, detail oriented individual who enjoys working with people, organizing projects and being involved in community events. Must have good public speaking skills, experience in working with clientele of all ages. Must have strong computer skills and be willing to learn new programs through hands on experience. 

Responsibilities

Learning 4-H Online and Fair Entry programs to help with youth programming and organization of county wide events such as 4-H Fair, 4-H Camp and Spark Clubs.

Be able to utilize social media to share educational information as well as important dates for programs and county events. (creating flyers, utilizing Canva, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube)

Must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written- proofing social media posts, 4-H Fair materials and handouts for public. 

Able to work in a team setting as well as independently. 

Be able to make change when handling funds, keeping records and receipts of cash flow. 

Flexibility is a must during certain events and times of the internship. 

 

Qualifications

Must be familiar with social media platforms, graphic design and MS Word/Excel. 

Willingness to learn 4-H Online and Fair Entry in order to help clientele. 

MUST HAVE excellent communication skills with phone and in person. Be able to relay messages and keep confidentiality.
