Library Summer Intern 2024

Description

The Library's Summer Interns work in all departments of the library.  They have the opportunity to experience the different types of jobs in a public library setting.  They assist our staff at the public service desks and with programs, especially all the extra summer programs at the library.

Responsibilities

The intern will work the public service desks, assist with programming, training, and participate in library committees.  The Interns will be utilized everywhere in the library, but we will let the Intern's background and strengths determine how they will best be used.  

Qualifications

Students interested in library careers are wonderful, but many areas of interest are utilized in the library--- technology, marketing, accounting, education, early childhood, English, history and sciences. An intern must be a people person with good customer service skills and a willingness to ask questions.
