Description

Differing from traditional solutions, OCS offers customized field level system architecture, allowing for more accurate, time sensitive data analysis.

Envelop Group's internship program offers a combination of mentoring, learning activities, and field work designed to give broad exposure to the inner workings of HVAC and Building Automation. This paid internship is located in Indianapolis, IN with flexible start and end dates from May to August 2024. Interns must be available to work up to 40 hours per week, for at least 10 weeks.

What you'll do as an Engineering Intern under guidance from an experienced Engineer:

  • Create flow diagrams, sequence of operations, bill of material, network layouts, and electrical schematics.
  • Develop and test software programs necessary to operate the system per the intent of the project requirements.
  • Coordinate and create necessary drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installations.
  • Assist in loading and commissioning of all system and network-level controllers.
  • Assist with validation of complete system functionality and troubleshoot problems to ensure proper operation.
  • Monitor system performance, analyze data, and identify areas for improvement or optimization.
  • Conduct research on innovative technologies and strategies to enhance the functionality of systems.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Engineering or related technical field with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical design documents (duct layouts, piping schematics, riser diagrams).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A growth mindset focused on continual learning and improvement.
  • Local candidates are preferred. No relocation or housing stipend will be offered for this position.
  • Must have valid US work authorization and must not require sponsorship for an employment visa by Envelop Group at any time in the future.
  • Travel to customer job sites is required, which may include outdoor work and/or work in mechanical/equipment rooms. During site visits, the employee may be exposed to variable weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, heights, and other variable environmental conditions.
