Summer Childcare Teacher

Description

The intern will learn interpersonal skills, communication, lesson planning, facilitating a lesson from start to finish, coping with feelings, patience, food & safety handling and the immense responsibility that goes along with caring for young children.

Responsibilities

The teacher oversees the daily operations of his/her assigned classroom. This includes establishing and maintaining a safe and supportive classroom environment, Implement provided curriculum and sometimes planning additional activities, modeling best teaching practices, develop and maintain professional relationships with staff, parents, and students.

Qualifications

-High School Diploma

--At least 18 years of age

--Holds or enrolled in a program for CDA, early childhood associate degree or bachelor of education degree.

--Ability to complete the following requirements before employment:
 -Drug Screen
 -TB Test
 -CPR & First Aid Certification
 -Fingerprints
 -Child Abuse & Neglect 60 minute online course
