MSW Intern

Bethany is changing the world through family. We began our work by serving one child more than 75 years ago. Today, Bethany is an international Christian nonprofit partnering with communities in more than 30 states and in several countries around the world. We strengthen and preserve families, support displaced people fleeing danger, and find safe, loving families for children who need them. Bethany is at the forefront of creating and implementing solutions to meet the growing needs of vulnerable children and families in the U.S. and around the world.

The MSW Intern will be working with the Transitional Foster Care team at the Bethany Indianapolis branch which works with children, who have entered the US unaccompanied, reunify with their sponsors. 

The MSW Intern will have specific agency hours, approximately 12-16 hours/week, that are designated for their learning experience.  Learning activities/tasks accomplished during these hours will be supervised by a licensed mental health professional (e.g., LCSW, LSW, LMH).  The MSW intern will receive training applicable to the Bethany organization, to federal government expectations of the UC grant program, and to hands-on clinical experience.  It is expected the MSW Intern will carry their own caseload of UCs during the 8-10 week internship.

It is Bethany's goal to provide the MSW intern with hands-on learning experience regarding work in a social serivce, child and family welfare, non-profit organization.
