Apex is seeking a professional learning and development administrative intern to assist the team in meeting aggressive external and internal learning and development objectives. Support vendor education opportunities and on-site corporate trainer. Collaborate with departmental managers and leadership team to identify and prioritize corporate training needs. A strong attention to detail is required as well as the ability to prioritize and multi-task. Seeking undergrad (at least rising junior status) committed to completing a 12-14 week internship in an exciting and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Summary of essential job functions/responsibilities

  • Manage training data in spreadsheets and assist creating reports
  • Keep training records and reports up to date
  • Updating the learning management system (LMS)
  • Projects include – auditing of LMS, review of content tags, instructional design, and other opportunities
  • Assist employees and managers in identifying internal and external training resources
  • Participate in meetings as requested
  • Some clerical and manual labor duties
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications

Minimum requirements

  • Currently enrolled in college, rising junior or higher status pursuing a degree in business, communication, education, or related field
  • Current minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Ability to work up to 20 hours per week (flexibility as needed)
  • Strong organization, time management, and analytical ability
  • Comfortable with the idea of public speaking
  • Follows up with employees regarding educational tasks, as required
  • Proficient with Word, Excel, and other Office programs
  • Ability to learn and adapt to change quickly
  • Able to demonstrate and always maintain discretion and confidentiality
  • Eagerness to learn and make an impact
  • Ability to learn and adapt to change quickly
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative
