Description

The Fay Biccard Glick Neighborhood Center (FBGNC) is a 501c3 nonprofit agency that has been a pillar in the Crooked Creek community since 1984. FBGNC serves the Northwest and Northcentral Indianapolis area, including parts of Pike and Washington townships. FBGNC’s service area consists of over 100,000 residents.

The GEAR program is a mobile case management service provided to residents within the Pike and Washington Township area.  The GEAR program works under the LACE department and focuses on engaging individuals wihtin the community.

A GEAR Coordinator will have an opporutunity to recieve a Community Health Worker certification, additional 20 hours of professional development training.  Employees with youth will be provided free childcare.

Responsibilities

The GEAR program is a mobile case management service provided to residents within the Pike and Washington Township area.   The GEAR Coordinator will utilize their skills to implement a program that should include significant social service steps and processes.

  The GEAR Coordinator is a social service staff member focused on developing and implementing a social service program that aligns with Fay Biccard’s mission and vision.  The GEAR Coordinator builds relationships within the community, maintains program goals related to the strategic plan, and funds develop for the social service program

 

  • Organizes Day-to-Day operations of the mobile program that includes but not limited to job fairs, partner presentations, and scheduling of events.
  • Builds relationships with outside partners to collaborate with FBGNC mobile programs
  • Monitors and tracks all data collection and measurement goals of the social service program
  • Coordinate meetings and case management assessments utilizing thorough communication outlets
  • Coordinate clients' needs utilizing an assessment tool
  • Develop a plan of success utilizing 7 Touches of Engagement

Qualifications

 

  • Work evening hours perferably between 11am -8pm
  • Willing to work outside in summer warm weather
  • Strong sense of organizational development skills
  • Excellent research, organizational, and communications skills with demonstrated ability to write clearly and persuasively
  • Ability to multitask and handle challenging situations and stringent circumstances
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and thorough understanding of strategic development
  • Possess a "go-getter attitude towards work

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Seeking a Bachelor's degree in social work, communication, public health-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read, write, and translate Spanish or/or French a plus
