Description

Impact Financial Group is looking for a finance intern to join our team for the upcoming semester/summer. As a member of our client service & delivery team, you will be tasked with helping us in our ongoing efforts to elevate client experience and practice efficiency. 

Our internship program is designed to provide a comprehensive hands-on experience.
The intern position supports many different responsibilities for which the practice is accountable for and ties directly to the overall efficiency of the practice.

As a member of our team, interns are: 

Expected to follow the standards and professional ethics and legal and regulatory requirements, within Ameriprise Financial guidelines.

Encouraged to collaborate with our advisory and client service teams as well as build relationships with peers serving in other internship roles. Our interns are given the opportunity to build a professional network as well as lasting relationships.

The internship is a paid, full-time internship in the summer (40 hours/week) and part-time during the academic year (15-20 hours/week). The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and creative with the ability to work independently and as a member of our team.  Strong data entry and analytical skills are necessary.

 

 

 

Responsibilities

Directly support advisory and client service team with tasks and projects related to data entry and analytics, financial plan modeling and projections. 

Our interns are self-sufficient and once given tasks we expect that they will own and execute, and ask questions when needed.

A capstone project recapping the internship experience will be delivered to Impact’s leadership team at the end of the internship.

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

Junior or Senior working toward a degree in finance or related industry

Excellent verbal and writing abilities

Advanced user of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

Use of Salesforce.com a plus

Use of Money Guide financial planning software a plus

Outgoing team player with excellent communication skills.

Self-motivated and able to work in a fast paced environment.
