Eclaras, a mission-driven secondhand retail boutique in Bloomington, IN, is looking for a dynamic and motivated Retail & Creative Intern to join our team. This internship offers the best of both worlds: hands-on experience in running a retail store and the chance to contribute creatively to our marketing, merchandising, and community-focused projects.

This is an ideal role for someone who loves fashion, values sustainability, and wants real-world experience in both business operations and brand development.

Responsibilities

In-Store Retail Tasks:

• Greet and assist customers, creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere
• Operate the POS system and handle customer transactions
• Keep racks tidy, floors clean, and displays visually appealing
• Assist sellers during drop-offs and maintain organized booth areas
• Open or close the store (depending on schedule)

Creative & Marketing Tasks:

• Capture aesthetic photos/videos of inventory for marketing use
• Assist with creating content for social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, etc.)
• Contribute to merchandising and in-store display updates
• Help plan and execute events and pop-up markets
• Support community outreach and nonprofit collaboration efforts

Qualifications

• Passion for fashion, thrifting, or sustainability
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Reliable, responsible, and self-motivated
• Creative mindset with an eye for visual presentation
• Comfortable using Instagram, TikTok, Canva, or similar tools
• Ability to work a flexible schedule (some evenings or weekends)
