Early Childhood Apprentice
Description
The Early Childhood Education Apprentice at our Developmental Preschool will work alongside certified teachers and specialists to support the growth and learning of young children with diverse developmental needs. This hands-on internship offers aspiring early childhood professionals the opportunity to learn inclusive practices, gain classroom experience, and assist in implementing individualized learning strategies.
Responsibilities

Assist in delivering developmentally appropriate and inclusive activities that meet the needs of all children

Support the implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) under supervision

Observe and document developmental milestones and behavior

Foster a supportive and structured classroom environment that encourages independence and social interaction

Help with classroom routines such as meals, toileting, transitions, and play-based learning

Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to support children’s developmental goals

Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and reflective practice
Qualifications
-
Enrolled in or pursuing a degree in early childhood education, special education, or related field (preferred)

Interest in working with children with developmental differences

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Currently enrolled in the Early Childhood Education Apprenticeship
