Description

First Financial Bank is a community-focused institution committed to building relationships and delivering value through sound financial practices. Our Branch Intern program offers students a front-row seat to the day-to-day operations of a retail banking center, with a strong focus on customer service, banking fundamentals, and professional development.

Interns will be supervised by an experienced branch manager or assistant manager who will provide hands-on training, regular feedback, and mentorship throughout the program. They’ll also learn from other team members by observing and participating in daily tasks like teller transactions, product discussions, and back-office operations.

The learning goals are centered on building confidence in customer interaction, strengthening communication and service skills, and gaining a foundational understanding of how banking products and operations serve individuals and communities. Interns will leave with a clearer sense of how a career in banking could align with their strengths and interests

Responsibilities

The Branch Intern will support daily banking operations in a learning-focused capacity. Responsibilities include assisting with basic teller transactions like deposits and payments, greeting clients, answering general questions, and helping direct customers to the right team members.

Interns will also observe and participate in product conversations, gaining exposure to how banking solutions are matched to customer needs. While there may be occasional administrative tasks such as filing or documentation, these are limited and balanced with hands-on experiences that promote customer service, financial understanding, and operational awareness

Qualifications

This internship is designed for students who are just beginning to explore the banking field, so we don’t expect any prior management experience or years in the workforce. We’re looking for individuals currently pursuing a degree in business, finance, or a related area who bring curiosity, professionalism, and a desire to learn.

Basic comfort with computers, strong communication skills, and a friendly attitude are key. More than anything, we want someone who’s dependable, open to feedback, and excited to grow through real-world experience in a supportive team environment.
