Description

Our organization is a dynamic, project-driven company that supports utility clients. We have a growing portfolio of marketing, branding, and digital media projects, making it an ideal role for a student interested in content creation, multimedia production, and design. Our internship is structured to offer meaningful, hands-on experience. The intern will report directly to our marketing manager. Supervision includes regular check-ins, project review, and feedback sessions. Interns will also be invited to participate in brainstorming sessions, team meetings, and client presentations when appropirate. Training will be provided in design software and project managment. Mentorship will focuson on helping the intern build a professional portfolio, refine their creative skills, and learn how to align creative work with real-world business objectives. Learning goals include:

  • Understanding the lifecycle of a creative project from concept to delivery.

  • Developing stronger writing, video editing, and design skills for various platforms.

  • Learning how to give and receive feedback in a collaborative work environment.

  • Gaining experience in working with branding guidelines and meeting client expectations.

Responsibilities

This intern will be engagned in a variety of creative projects that contribute to real business outcomes while still be appropriate for an educational environment. Projects may include:

  • Writing blog posts, social media captions, and marketing copy for campaigns.

  • Assisting in the scripting, filming, and editing of short-form video content.

  • Designing graphics for digital and print use, such as infographics, presentations, and social media visuals.

  • Supporting the development of brand kits or visual identity documents for clients.

  • Researching trends in content and design to support creative planning.

  • Administrative tasks will be minimal (under 25%) and may include organizing digital assets, preparing meeting notes from creative sessions, and scheduling internal review meetings. These support tasks are designed to give context to creative projects, not replace them.

Qualifications

We fully understand and support that interns are early in their career journeys. This internship is designed as a learning opportunity, not a job requiring prior professional experience. While a basic understanding of writing, video tools, or design software is helpful, we do not expect mastery.

The intern will be given clear guidance, support, and space to learn through doing. Our team will ensure that expectations are aligned with their level of experience, and that each task is an opportunity for skill development, creative growth, and confidence building in a professional setting.
