Quality & Training Support Intern / Part-Time
Reports To: Director of Operations
Payroll Type: Hourly, Non-Exempt
Work Status: Intern / Part-Time (Flexible, up to 40 hours per week, estimated 200–300 hours total)
Position Summary
This is a unique learning opportunity for a student or early career professional seeking hands-on experience in nonprofit operations, quality systems, and organizational training. The Quality & Training Support Intern will work closely with leadership to document, organize, and digitize our operational procedures. Tasks include drafting SOPs, creating policy documentation, assisting with process mapping, and supporting the rollout of quality systems. This individual will be exposed to a wide range of nonprofit functions and will gain valuable experience in quality management, organizational development, and the use of AI-powered documentation tools.

Responsibilities
Position Responsibilities
- Assist in creating and formatting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), training documents, and internal policies
- Interview team members and shadow operations to capture current practices and workflow steps
- Document and digitize internal training materials and onboarding documentation
- Help identify gaps or inconsistencies in processes and recommend improvements
- Utilize Quality templates and Ai tools to finalize work.
- Assist in establishing a centralized quality documentation system
- Support ad-hoc quality improvement and process standardization projects
- Training with the documents to staff to ensure clarity, accuracy, and effectiveness of materials
Qualifications

- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter with good time management
- Comfortable using or learning basic software tools like Microsoft Office, Lucidchart etc
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling internal documents
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
- Desire to support community-based nonprofit work and make a difference
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Organizational Leadership, Business, Quality Management, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
