Description

We are seeking a responsible and enthusiastic high school intern to assist in our Early Education and Staff Daycare program. The intern will support our teachers and daycare staff in providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children. This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in early childhood education, child development, or related fields to gain hands-on experience. The ideal candidate is a student with a passion for education, a nurturing attitude, a strong work ethic, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Help monitor and support children during playtime, snack time, and other daily routines to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Assist in setting up and cleaning up the classroom, including preparing materials and supplies for activities and learning stations.
  • Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and engaging classroom environment.
  • Attend and participate in training sessions and meetings to enhance your understanding of child development and early childhood education.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with staff members, reporting any concerns or observations about the children.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Lead Teacher or Classroom Supervisor.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in high school
  • Strong interest in early childhood education or working with young children and a desire to learn about early childhood education.
  • Friendly, patience, creativity, and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact respectfully with children, staff, and families.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Must be able to work in a dynamic, active environment with varying noise levels.
  • Must demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and excellent attendance. 
  • Must pass a background check, drug screening, obtain digital fingerprints and complete all required training
