Licensed Social Worker

Description

Dellstar VR is currently hiring Licensed Social Workers (LSWs) seeking clinical hours toward full licensure. This paid internship allows interns to provide therapeutic services to returning citizens, formerly incarcerated individuals, and justice-involved individuals—communities that deserve access to quality, culturally responsive mental health care.

Interns will work under the direct supervision of a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who will provide consistent guidance, feedback, and support throughout the duration of the internship.

How We Work:
This is not traditional telehealth. Interns will conduct therapy sessions in immersive virtual reality (VR) environments that replicate real-world therapy spaces and calming scenes—offices, natural landscapes, and creative meditative spaces—designed to support client healing and engagement.

Dellstar VR provides all necessary equipment, including a VR headset, and offers training to ensure therapists are confident using our secure VR platform.

Responsibilities

Intern Responsibilities:

• Deliver individual therapy sessions in VR

• Complete session documentation and progress notes

• Attend required supervision meetings with an LCSW (minimum 4 hours per month)

• Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards of care

• Adapt to client needs within the VR environment

• Participate in periodic check-ins and professional development as needed

Qualifications

Ideal Candidates:

• Hold an active LSW license 

• Are working toward full licensure as an LCSW (not necessarily)

• Have a strong interest in VR, innovation, and expanding access to mental health

• Are empathetic, dependable, and trauma-informed

• Possess reliable internet access and willingness to learn new tech tools
