Our organization is a dynamic, fast-paced warehouse and distribution business focused on marine and RV products, with a strong emphasis on operational efficiency, quality control, and hands-on problem solving. Our internship program offers students or entry-level individuals a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in inventory management, product refurbishment, and logistics workflow.
Supervision, Training, and Mentorship:
The intern will report directly to the Operations Manager and work closely with our Inventory Control and Warehouse Teams. They will receive initial hands-on training in our returns process, inventory software, and safety protocols. Ongoing guidance and task-specific mentorship will be provided by experienced technicians and team leads. We foster a supportive learning environment, encouraging questions and promoting growth through real-time feedback and weekly check-ins.
Learning Goals for the Intern:

Understand the full lifecycle of returned goods, from receipt and inspection to documentation and reintegration

Gain experience using inventory management systems and basic ERP tools

Develop technical skills related to light product rebuilding, inspection, and quality assurance

Learn how to follow SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and work independently while maintaining accountability

Strengthen communication and documentation skills critical to warehouse operations
By the end of the internship, the intern will have meaningful, hands-on experience with inventory control and product refurbishment—skills that are directly transferable to many logistics, operations, and manufacturing roles.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:

Receive, sort, and inspect returned inventory for condition and completeness

Document return reasons and product status in inventory management system

Clean, repair, and reassemble products as needed to restore them to "like new" condition

Generate proper documentation for restocking or scrapping items

Accurately re-enter refurbished inventory into stock

Identify and separate items requiring advanced repair or disposal

Maintain organization and cleanliness of the returns and rebuild work area

Follow safety protocols and standard operating procedures

Communicate issues or discrepancies to the Inventory or Operations Manager

Work independently while managing time and tasks effectively
Qualifications
Qualifications:

High school diploma or currently enrolled in a relevant technical or trade program (preferred)

Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

Basic mechanical aptitude; comfortable with hands-on assembly or repair work

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Capable of working independently with minimal supervision

Basic computer/data entry skills (experience with inventory systems a plus)

Strong organizational and time management skills

Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude

Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods

Willingness to learn and take initiative in a fast-paced environment
