Plant Science Lab Assistant

Description

Anu is seeking an intern with a background in biological sciences to assist in lab and plant care work at their Evansville, IN offices. Anu currently operates a lab space with smart growing devices and a controlled environment shipping container growing system which would be where the majority of the work would be focused. Anu is a start-up, so there may be opportunities to become involved in aspects of the work outside of the duties and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Setting up and taking down experiments

• Plant growth and experiment monitoring
• Data collection and management
• Packing seed pods
• General plant care

Qualifications

• Ability to work around plants
• Ability to lift 20 lbs
• Current University of Evansville student pursuing degree in biology, plant science, environmental science, or other relevant degree
• Detail oriented
• Self-motivated
• Willingness to learn
• Willingness to complete repetitive tasks
• Ability to use Excel or similar spreadsheet software
