Our internship program is designed to provide hands-on learning and exposure to real construction estimating work. Interns are closely supervised and mentored by our senior estimator and project management team. Training includes job shadowing, guided estimating exercises, and regular check-ins to track progress and answer questions.
Supervision, Training, and Mentorship:

Supervisor: Senior Estimator (Abhi) and Owner (Allie)

Training: Onboarding orientation, estimating software tutorials, blueprint reading, safety practices, and regular review meetings

Mentorship: Ongoing feedback and coaching from project managers and the senior estimator
Learning Goals:

Develop practical skills in construction estimating and project planning

Understand construction processes, terminology, and best practices
-
Build confidence working with plans, specs, and real jobsite data

Improve communication and professional skills in a team environment
Responsibilities
The intern will be involved in a variety of meaningful tasks and projects that directly support the estimating and project management process, including:

Assisting with quantity take-offs and cost estimates for upcoming projects

Reviewing architectural plans and construction documents

Gathering quotes from suppliers and subcontractors
-
Assisting in preparing bid packages and proposals
-
Helping update and maintain project budgets and schedules
-
Participating in jobsite visits to observe project progress and learn about real-world construction challenges
Administrative work (filing, copying, etc.) will be limited to less than 25% of the role. The primary focus will be on learning, problem-solving, and developing industry-specific skills.
Qualifications

Currently enrolled in an Indiana college or university (required for EARN Indiana eligibility)

Interest in construction, architecture, engineering, or a related field

Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn

Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel; exposure to estimating software is a plus but not required

Good communication and organizational skills

No prior management experience or years in the field required—this internship is an entry-level, hands-on learning opportunity!
- Spanish Proficiency preferred
