Early Childhood Education Work-based Internship

Description

Our Early Childhood students can apply for paid internships/ work based learning at Greensburg Elementary School. Our interns will be under the direct supervision of a licensed certified teacher and will report to the school principal.  These students will be hands-on in small groups, one on one and leading classroom lessons while getting experience in a preschool to grade 3 classroom.

Responsibilities

Establishes and maintains a safe, caring, inclusive, and healthy learning environment

Supports the assessment of each child in the classroom by completing anecdotal notes on each child to document progress and opportunities for individualization

Understands and complies with the school district's policies and ethical guidelines about inclusivity as applicable.

Reviews and understands how to implement the components of an IEP and ILP

Qualifications

Come with as much knowledge as you have gained in your early childhood dual credit classes but the real experiences will be gained in the classroom setting.
