Child Care Teacher

Tiny Town Child Care is a childcare facility that is focused on the development and education of all children. Our goal is to be a safe place where children 0-5 can learn and develop in an age appropriate manner. We are teaching and preparing kids for kindergarten. 

The candidate will learn how to organize and run a classroom that fosters our goals. This means each day they will lead the class with a co teacher in the following manner. Kids will have free time, meals, naps, and center time. During center time the kids will learn age appropriate lessons from a curriculum that we partner with. 

Aside from many soft skills such as showing up on time, communicating with co workers, doing daily tasks, the applicant will also learn how to communicate with parents, co-teachers, and students. We have an opening and closing manager that will work directly with the student to confirm all job related duties are completed. 

Responsibilities

Manage student's daily schedule

Facilitate Circle (Learning Time)

Communicate with fellow staff, parents, and students

Potentially plan field trips or special days (ie Holiday Parties, Grandparents Days, Etc.)

Fill in and float from roam to roam to see what age group they perfer working with

Understand how the day to day of a child care facility is operated

Qualifications

Soft Skills: 

- Can you show up on time

- Can you follow simple instructions

- Can you work well with others

*There will be some required training; Safe Sleep and 1st Aid are two of the potential trainings
