Accounting Intern 2026 Spring
Description
Wouldn’t it be great to intern with a public accounting firm where you’ll gain experience in your chosen field, utilize your skills in a broad range of services, and directly impact your team? Here at Slattery & Holman, we have a lot to offer. As a full-service tax and consulting firm for over forty years, we serve closely-held businesses from numerous industries and individuals across Indiana. We provide comprehensive services and a high level of personalized attention to each one of our clients. These unique relationships are built upon our values that client service is not “one size fits all” - each requires a customized and creative approach. For our staff, this results in a meaningful and impactful working environment that emphasizes teamwork, self-fulfillment, and personal growth, as well as a long-lasting and successful professional career.
The Role
Our internship program at Slattery & Holman gives students a hands-on look at what it’s like to work in the public accounting world, all while learning from experienced CPAs and accountants. As an intern, you’ll be matched with both a mentor (one of our partners) and a buddy (a staff accountant) who will guide you throughout our internship program.
Interns will get involved in a mix of projects - from preparing individual and business tax returns to looking at financial statements for tax compliance - you’ll gain exposure to a wide range of services and projects while building skills that connect directly to your academic program. This internship is project-based, so you’ll have the chance to work on different phases of client engagements. We seek students who aspire to learn and grow both professionally and personally in the accounting profession, while gaining skills to serve on a trusted advisory team that guides our clients’ business and financial decisions.
