Levisonics is a medical device startup that is dedicated to improving the lives of patients by developing innovative blood coagulation testing platforms that can perform coagulation analysis with a single drop of blood using acoustic levitation. Our mission is to provide healthcare professionals with accurate and reliable diagnostic tools that help them make informed decisions and improve patient outcomes.

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern. This internship offers students hands-on experience in mechanical design and prototyping within a fast-paced medical device startup. Interns will assist with tasks such as 3D modeling, component assembly, and performance testing. The role provides a broad introduction to mechanical engineering in a healthcare technology context, with opportunities to contribute to product development and refinement. Interns will work alongside engineers and learn how mechanical systems are designed, built, and evaluated in a real-world setting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with mechanical design and CAD modeling

  • Support prototype assembly and testing

  • Collaborate with engineers to refine mechanical components

  • Maintain organized records of design iterations and test results

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering or related program
